Central European interior ministers agree to step up fight against illegal migration at EU borders
Interior ministers from six EU countries have agreed to step up efforts to protect the bloc from illegal immigration and target human smugglers.
These countries, part of the V4 group, were joined by Austria and Germany for a summit in Hungary to address the increasing pressure on the Balkan migration route.
The ministers emphasized the need for cooperation on external border protection and called for solutions that focus on preventing migrants from entering the EU illegally. [ more ]
